Partial repairs

Partial repairs

Partial repairs are, as the word suggests, individual repairs.

For example, if only one part of a watch is defective, a complete overhaul does not need to take place.

The most common partial repairs are:

Battery replacement

Glaswechsel

Replacement of the crown / setting shaft

Bandwechsel

Bandmontage

Band shortening

Work exchange

Swap pointers/realign pointers.

It is important to note that no matter how simple the watch may be, it is best to have the battery changed by a professional.

In quartz movements there are often very sensitive parts such as the coil or the circuit/board in the immediate vicinity of the battery. These can be damaged if the tools and/or battery type are used incorrectly and a trip to the watchmaker becomes even more expensive.

The most common battery types are always in stock and a change can be carried out quickly.
